Just arrived in Rome, Italy! Okay well not really. The plane landed about 3 hours ago, but the baggage claim took a while, and we got caught in the morning peak hour traffic jam. Took an hour to get into the centre of Rome to the service apartment we're staying in.
Was quite disappointed when we first got out of the airport, because the airport looked exactly like the American airports I'd been going through in February with Sarah, and the initial highway we were on looked like we were in USA too. But then we got to the pretty cobbled streets and the old, crumbly buildings. Gah. Love.
We're currently in the Jewish Ghetto, near some kosher cafes and a school, and when we walked past in the morning cold, we heard children singing inside. Very cool. The apartment is a pretty nice place too. Very cosy with good amenities, a small outdoor terrace, a mini loft sitting area and best of all, free wireless internet!!!! Awesome shit.
And now it's time to get lunch, and then SHOPPING. :D
